A heartwarming and fun-filled afternoon was had at Sister Spokesman’s Celebrating Mothers event December 3 at Arnellia’s in St. Paul. The event featured remarks from family members who shared uplifting stories and gave reasons why their mother was a deserving nominee. Mothers were also given gift bags and were featured in last week’s edition of the MSR paper.
Comedians Norma Williams and Shed G. added to the upbeat atmosphere with entertaining stories about motherhood that kept attendees in stitches. Also on hand was KMOJ’s Q-Bear, who kept the place humming with a steady stream of classic R&B as attendees shopped and networked with one another.
