Paisley Park will mark anniversary of Prince’s death with four-day celebration

It was announced Tuesday, November 28, that Paisley Park will mark the one-year anniversary of Prince’s death with a celebration to honor his legacy. Entitled “Celebration 2017,” the four-day event kicks off April 20, 2017  at Prince’s Paisley Park in Chanhassen.

According to the press release, the event will bring together artists who have worked closely with the late icon over the years, for live music, panel discussions, and presentations that honor Prince’s work and influence.

The bands scheduled to perform so far include such longtime Prince associates as The Revolution, Morris Day and The Time, and members of the New Power Generation, as well as newer proteges like 3RDEYEGIRL. More details and additional special guests will be announced in the coming weeks.

Tickets are on sale now. General admission tickets are priced at $499 and include up to five hours of event programming each day on all four days, including access to four exclusive concert events.  VIP passes priced at $999 are bundled with added benefits including VIP concert seating, on-site parking, photo and autograph opportunities with special guests, exclusive merchandise and a meal pass.  At this time individual day passes are not available.

Paisley Park opened for public tours last month, providing fans worldwide with an opportunity to see the spaces in which Prince created, performed and resided. On display are artifacts from Prince’s personal archives, including iconic concert wardrobe, awards, musical instruments, artwork, rare music and video recordings and motorcycles.
